2011, and other... Stuff!!

I know I do this every year.. but, I fully intend to blog if not everyday in '11, darn near close to it. They may not be long drawn out posts, but they will be posts none the less. I also know thats talk is cheap, my goal for this new year is to post more each month, and for the new year than I have ever done. I am a writer, and I recently participated in NaNoWriMo and I wrote over 50,000 words in a month, so I know I can do it. I also want to read the entire bible in the year 2011, and continue to grow in my christian faith; God has given me life, and I desire to know more about his word. The Bible is truly a literary as well as historical masterpiece for me, and I owe it to myself to know all i can about God's plan for me. I also think this is a pivotal year for me, as well as my country- USA, and I hope to follw through with plans I have for myself, as well as follow the course our nation is taking. I feel strongly for my country, and I do feel that we have strayed far off course from where we need to be, our personal freedoms are being infringed upon through political correctness, and the stifling encroachment of our government into our personal lives, I believe that citizens of this once and still great nation need to be free to live our lives as we see fit...

We have gotten away from that, and although the majority of our nation believes in God, we are being directed away from that concept by a small minority of people who are not happy unless they water down our beliefs for some kind of common ground, I do hope that will never happen. Our nation was made strong by all of the diverse people, and views we all have and that is the only way we will remain strong. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!
